Laser printers are often a bit bulky and take up a lot of space. The Kyocera FS-1061DN is an exception to the rule, and today we will take a closer look at this compact laser printer.
The first thing that stands out about the Kyocera FS-1061DN is its compact size. It measures only 35.5 cm x 24 cm. When it's all folded in the FS-1061DN is only 28 cm deep, but when you're using it that increases to 47 cm. The 7 kg weight is very low for a laser printer. It's not a multifunctional device however, it only prints. It's also monochrome, so no color prints. It does have a duplex unit, which is useful for its intended target audience of the (small) business segment. The FS-1061DN is an Ecosys printer, which stands for Ecological & Economical System and which should make it less of a burden on the environment and your wallet.
The Kyocera FS-1061DN is clearly aimed at the small business segment, so it's a functional device without fancy and hip features. The control panel has four buttons and two LEDs that indicate whether its processing a task or if it requires your attention. On the front the power button is located, and on the top there is a stop button and a button for enabling silent mode. In this mode it makes less noise than normal, but even in standard mode it's not very noisy.
The printer can house 251 sheets of paper. The peculiar number is due to the two print trays. The main tray can take 250 sheets, and the MFP feeder can have one sheet of paper. The print tray can have up to 150 sheets.
