Take note, smartphone shoppers on a budget, because BLU Products has officially taken the wraps off of its newest Android smartphone that combines a respectable feature set with an affordable price tag. The BLU Life Pro features a 5-inch 1280×720 display on its face as well as a 5-megapixel camera that BLU says is great for selfies thanks to its “extremely wide” field of view. Around back there’s a 12-megapixel shooter, and buried inside the Life Pro’s 6.9mm-thick aluminum shell is a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 2500mAh battery.
So just how much lighter will your wallet be after picking up the Life Pro? The device retails for $299, which makes it one option to consider for anyone that’s in the hunt for an unlocked smartphone that won’t break the bank. It’s also worth noting that the Life Pro sports what looks to be a fairly vanilla build of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is exciting news for Android purists and hopefully means that it won’t take long for updates to be pushed to the device.
