Windows Phone is quietly gaining market share and Nokia is clearly the company leading the charge. We saw the revealing of the Lumia 1520 in Abu Dhabi earlier this week, but we didn’t know how much it was going to cost at launch. Now, there’s word that AT&T will be selling the 6-inch phablet for as little as $199.99 on a qualifying two-year contract.
Earlier rumors pointed more toward a $299 price point, so the $100 savings is much appreciated. The AT&T version of the phone should come equipped with 16GB of storage on-board, but it won’t be equipped with wireless charging capabilities. That should help with keeping the price low. If you were to buy the Nokia Lumia 1520 outright from AT&T, it sounds like that would cost you $599.
The rest of the specs should be in line with the international versions. There’s the much larger 6-inch 1080p display, giving you a lot more space for those Live Tiles than on existing Windows Phone devices. You’ll also get a 2.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 800, 2GB of RAM, 20MP PureView camera, and Windows Phone 8 Update 3.
