ust this morning T-Mobile announced that the LG G2 is coming to its network onSeptember 25 for $99.99 down. Now AT&T and Verizon are joining the party, releasing availability and pricing information for their models of LG’s next-generation smartphone.
As expected, the LG L2 will hit AT&T stores starting September 13 for $199.99 with a two-year contract, or $27 per month on AT&T Next. Online sales begin tomorrow.
Verizon, meanwhile, will be the first carrier to offer the LG G2, with its model going on sale September 12, a day ahead of AT&T, for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Verizon is also the only carrier to offer exclusive wireless charging support for the phone.
If you’re wondering why the LG G2 seems cheaper on T-Mobile, it’s because T-Mobile doesn’t subsidize the cost of its phones. So while you’re paying less money down, you’re then paying $21 per month for the next 24 months. AT&T and Verizon, on the other hand, require you to sign a contract in order to receive a discounted rate.
That leaves Sprint as the final carrier to announce pricing and availability information, but after this flurry of activity, perhaps we’ll find out later today.
