McAfee has launched its Complete Endpoint
Protection suites for business and enterprise, linking security from
chips to operating systems and providing enhanced protection against a
growing number of computer threats.
Complete Endpoint Protection includes Deep Defender, a rootkit protection based on hardware-enhanced security developed by Intel and McAfee, which scored 100 per cent in tests conducted by AV-Test. The software also scored 100 per cent in malware protection in tests carried out by West Coast Labs.
The suites also include dynamic whitelisting, risk intelligence, and real-time security management, with additional support for mobile devices, Macs and Linux.
Installation takes minutes and end users will experience higher performance scanning. McAfee is also offering incentives and affordable pricing to encourage business adoption.
Additional features include Real Time for ePolicy Orchestrator, which provides best practice questions and guidelines to help identify, minimise and manage potential risks. McAfee's Risk Advisor provides extra indications of high risk assets.
“A few years ago, McAfee created the first security suites. We remain a market leader in what is estimated by IDC to be a $2B market in 2013. That’s more than half of all endpoint security sales,” said Candace Worley, senior vice president and general manager of endpoint security at McAfee.
“Now, through performance and automation enhancements to our existing market-leading defenses and integration of distinctive and compelling new protections, McAfee suites again define a new level of endpoint protection—one that is firing on all cylinders: speed, security, simplicity, and value.”
