Apple released iOS 6.1.3 on Tuesday, an update that fixes a security hole in iOS that would allow someone to bypass your iPhone's passcode lock. The update also improves Apple Maps in Japan.
To that end, Apple's patch notes are direct and to the point:
  • Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the passcode and access the Phone app
  • Improvements to Maps in Japan
Apple has not yet updated the Security Updates page with information on the security content of the patch.
The passcode bypass flaw was uncovered in the middle of February. It involved attempting to turn the phone off, then making, and immediately canceling, an emergency call, and holding down the power and home buttons in sequence. Doing so would bypass the passcode lock, giving the perpetrator access to your iPhone.
