Phoenix-area software developers, code ninjas and startup hackers are invited to a new quarterly technology event designed just for them.
The quarterly meetings, dubbed Phx Tech Talks, have been launched by Brad Jannenga, president and chief technology officer of WebPT, a Phoenix-based physical therapy software company.
Jannenga’s goal in creating the series was to “bring together the isolated groups of software developers that exist around the greater Phoenix area and start a broader conversation about best practices.
“It’s about building community, getting past the cliches and preferences on language, and raising our collective knowledge,” said Jannenga told me. “Phoenix is a burgeoning tech community, and I want to help strengthen it.”
The first meeting, entitled, “WebPT’s taming of the beast: Implementing horizontal scale out architecture in a rapidly growing company” will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 at WebPT, 625 S. 5th St., Building 2, Phoenix.
“My team will walk through our thought process on migrating from a single stack/multi-tenant architecture to a horizontally sliced stack functioning under SSO on a single tenant schema,” Jannenga said.
