The cost of Motorola's flagship phone is set fall.
All carriers of the Moto X, including Verizon and AT&T, will drop the price of the phone to $100 by the end the year, HNGN reports.
The phone currently goes for $199 with a two year contract.
Motorola has yet to confirm the report, and the exact date of the price drop is unknown
The phone is set to launch on Sprint and U.S. Cellular this month, and it made its debut on Verizon just last week.
Verizon picked up the Moto X handset nearly a month after its launch. It is now available on the carrier for $199 with a two-year contract, or $599 without a contract.
The carrier began selling the phone through its online store Aug. 29, though retail outlets will begin to receive units in the coming weeks, the Droid Guy reports.
It's available in two color variants: black or white.
Rumors suggest Sprint and T-Mobile will grab the device soon.
The Moto X features a 4.7-inch 720p HD AMOLED display and a 10-megapixel camera. Under the hood it packs a 1.7-inch Qualcomm S4 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage and a 2200mAh battery.
Motorola made headlines earlier this month when rumors surfaced the tech giant will build the next iteration of Google's flagship Nexus smartphone for release in the fourth quarter of this year.
The rumor first surfaced Aug. 8, about a week after the launch of the Moto X.
The source is former AndroidandMe writer Taylor Wimberly, who took to Google+Thursday to say Google and Motorola are working on the new Nexus phone.
"Motorola will release a Nexus smartphone in Q4 (that is not the Moto X)."
Wimberly, known for his good rumor mill track record, provided no additional details about the phone.
Previous reports pegged LG -- the maker of the current Nexus 4 handset -- to stay on for the next iteration in the line.
According to rumors the upcoming Nexus 5 could feature a 5-inch full HD screen, an eight-core 2.3GHz processor, 3GB of ram, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 33oomAh battery and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
And it's rumored to support 4G/LTE and come in three internal storage variants: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
